April's Fools Day in Copenhagen today. The original Little Mermaid left this week for a working holiday of 6 months to China so as a prank the Natural History Museum of Denmark placed this in her place

Sequin bite

So here's a weird injury for ya'. Maddie and I went to Cat's Eye and put in some volunteer time to help them set up. We hung purses, put racks up, sorted books and found a collection of sparkly tank tops for display, here is where I was bitten by a sequin! Funny haha, no not really, the sequin jammed under my finger nail, and it hurts like H-E double hockey sticks today!! But, it was for a good cause, we want to see our Favorite store have the success it deserves so any help we can give... we will :-)

The perfect game

Since December when Nana and Papa opened their Wii for Christmas there has been a battle going on. Dean and Papa and their bowling! Every time we get together they battle it out trying to get the perfect game... Papa came close in Eureka he bowled a 280! We cheered and hip hip hoorayed..... but then..... this past weekend... Dean swooped in and stole the title! And not with a 290..... No, he bowled a perfect game!! Now I'm not sure what they will do? Find a new battle maybe?

It started with Cat's Eye...

Maddie and I both had Friday off, so while wondering what to do, we found out our Favorite store Cat's Eye just reopened!! (New location is 614, 10 Ave SW (the old Alberta boot Building)So that was where our day would start, and see where the rest of the day took us...

Maddie found a Green Satin dress, and wouldn't take it off, so she wore it home :-)

For lunch we went to Peppino's on 17th, I had

A fiery mixture of Calabrese salami, Capicollo, and banana peppers. All served on a Peppino baguette, with lettuce, cheese, and of course our house dressing.....wow! Yummy

...after lunch the sun came out so we ventured 17th, we found an awesome antique store, really cute stuff, and then ended up in a toy store. Not one thing in here ran on batteries. They had some very amusing items :-) Maddie particularly liked this one :-)

...and ended the day by strumming me a few tunes :-)

Sick for daze!

As you noticed, I haven't blogged for days. I was doing so good on my pic a day... :-( and then I got sick and couldn't keep my eyes open for more than 2 minutes. Our 2 year anniversary was in that blur of time too :-( The first day I started to feel normal was St Patty's day. And I wanted GREEN beer. So we picked Maddie up from school, and headed for supper to someplace yummy. We chose The Olive Garden. Which.... I guess in hindsight isn't the best place for St Patty's day! GREAT food, but NO green beer, not even a green drink!! I thot maybe a margerita or something, but they were all red. Oh well.... we did have fun and it's not like we can take Maddie to an Irish pub yet.... anyway, my celebration of not feeling green any more was met with ... diet coke! Lol at least that was there! Ciao and Happy day to all :-)

Cool Stuff in Traffic.

This picture does not really do it justice. It just looks so much bigger when you are driving by it. What is it? Doppler Radar. What's Doppler Radar? One of it's uses is to detect weather and since this is positioned very near to the airport you know why it's there.

I lied

I'm sorry that I lied to you today.... I said my friend "Mr remote", well!! There was no friend in my remote today, there was nothing on TV, commercials suck and it seemed like all day I was waiting for CSI to start. For some reason Spike was off kilter and started 15 minutes later... the crap that I witnessed on TV in between waiting for CSI was shocking!! LOL 500 channels of CRAP! It really sucks when you don't fell well, and you have to rely on cable to entertain you!!!

Today I'm not feelin' so hot, me and my friend Mr Remote are going to chill on the couch, and catch up on some rest, hopefully I can shake this cold!!

In 2005 I recieved my first email from Dean, it was all business... even ended with regards Dean hahaha little did he know that the little email he sent "regarding" my new computer was going to be the start of US :-)

Did You Know....?

I think the year was 1979 or so. I was still less than a decade on this earth and nothing really, really exciting happens at that age. Except when the McDonald's came to town. In the town of Midland, Ontario (pop. 12000 at the time), it was a major event.


One day, my brother and I were eating there and I put the fries in the other side of the burger as pictured above. My brother saw me do this and decided to inject himself into a Trivial Pursuit question saying, "You know, I invented that. Now everyone's doing it." My brother delivered that declaration in a way that made me instantly believe it. Sure enough, I looked around the restaurant and everyone was doing it. I thought that was pretty cool.

Everytime I go to McDonald's, I always think about my brother's place in McDonald's history.
