This year at our Expo there were a few noticeable changes, and they were all for the better. First of all, bigger venue, more space, being allowed outside, and much better line control! There was no mayhem this year, well one small glitch on Sunday where miscommunication made us go in one entrance instead of ANY entrance, but that was cleared up quickly. I don't want to dwell on the very small mistake tho, because the rest of the Con was amazing!!!

According to Con etiquette, if you ask permission to take a picture you may be rewarded! You may also be denied, but respect that fact and move on. In this case I asked Stan Lee if I could take his picture, fully expecting that if he said yes, I would snap one of him writing, which would be a nice addition to the framed comic book, but instead, he stopped and smiled for the camera! How sweet of him :-) Now I have an even better addition to the frame.
Standing in line for the X Files photo op, these guys had their costumes made, I forget which Hobbit girl made them, they took her 4 months, and the detail on them was amazing.
The weather was beautiful today, good thing since we were going building to building for photo ops, this shrubby guy had a great costume, you can barley see him!
So kewl!
While we waited in line for our Walking Dead photo op, a few "people" passed by! I didn't get photo's of everyone because sometimes they passed to quick, but I did get to high five a few faves as they passed by us. Luckily for us we were entertained during this time, the line was delayed a bit, a while, a long time!! Like 2 hours, but..... somehow when we got to the end, and the cast was so amazing they made us feel like it was the first 10 minutes of their day not the last 10, we forgot all about the line..... what line??/
So, anyway...... we were there awhile.... lol so long we saw Sean Patrick Flanery ( aka Boondock saints ) we saw him go in and go out.... we said we're still here, and he was saying at this moment "me too"
Carrie Fisher had her puppy with her, and she ran past chasing him lol
Mitch Pileggi ( aka Skinner ) gave us all high fives as he walked by, along with John Barrowman ( Torchwood ) Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones ) and Richard Dean Anderson ( MacGyver ) too quick for photos. We saw, but no high fiving, John Carpenter and Stan Lee.

This was brilliant!!! The Boondock saints!!!! Hilarious, great costume!
While we were in line for a Steven Yuen ( Walking Dead ) autograph, a girl wearing a space suit got her photo with him, and he put on her helmet! too funny.
Then Melissa McBride came out, she was so shocked at the crowd's roar in her honour!!
When we got the front, Steven said to me " Hi again" haha he remembered my birdy's!! There were signs all over saying no photos, but like I said before, ask and you may receive, he was letting everyone take pictures... he loves his fans :-)
This was great!! A different take on the storm trooper, this one was wounded!!
so..... I held it together pretty good, but then after.... a little tear developed :-) after all, I did just meet Scully!!

and after meeting the Walking dead cast...... just a little tear, but at least in the photo op, my face isn't all red and wet like last year!

We didn't get to meet Walter Koenig aka ( Chekov ) we did see him signing autographs and we tried to go buy something that we could get him to sign, but ran out of time :-(
and the prized possessions..... the photo op results. So like I said we were in line for 2 hours to see the Walking dead, and they were happy, smiley, and joking, we got to thank them all for coming, tell them we loved the show, shake all their hands... it was awesome. Last year in line we were told, no hugging, no talking... in and out.... so we don't know if the organizers said 'let the stars" do what they want.... or we just lucked out.... on every photo op.....
again everyone was so nice.... so kewl to be in the same space as Scully!!!! and has she gotten more beautiful since the X Files or what!!
omgosh...... John Rhys-Davies ( Gimli from Lord of the Rings ) was so funny........ I am laughing so hard, because just as they went to take a picture he said the bird pooped on my hand!
Well that is the recap.... I probably forgot a hundred stories and missed 1000 photos.... it was a busy, exciting, exhausting, fun, awesome weekend!!!
