Halloween Night 2011

And now the day we've all been waiting for..... Halloween! I added fangs to my makeup tonight, since I wouldn't be eating and drinking all night, like the party night :-)

the yard is all set, now the worst part.... waiting.... waiting for kids, and waiting for darkness so the yard looks kewler!

And just like that "poof" the night is over. We had 167 kids, the weather had a rocky start with snow this morning, but it cleared up and the sun peeked thru. Wind died down, we were good to go. Now onto bigger and better plans for next year..... Happy Halloween everyone. We ended the night with watching Trick or Treat, starring my little Sam :-)

In between the party and Halloween set up, this was my day to rest.... how do I rest? Go see other spooky haunts!!

One of our customers told me about her house that they spend all month setting up, and getting all the volunteer actors ready, so this was somewhere I had to go see. Well..... it left me speechless!! The amount of rooms and actors here was unreal!

this years theme was twisted fairy tales... so we started with Snow White, and it just got creepier as it went on.....

there was so much more, I think there were 20 rooms in their outdoor maze.... INCREDIBLE and yes I am sooooo jealous!! Then as if it wasn't amazing enuff..... you come around the corner and there is this Demon as big as the house..... and oh yes he moves..... and he was AMAZING!!!

like I said I was speechless, WOW WOW WOW!!!

then later that night, after Maddie got off work, I picked her up and met up with Mack and Ang at another haunted House. So Mack sees a coffin, and of course jumps into it.... doesn't everyone??

getting ready to go into the maze, we had to let the people in front of us go ahead, so we didn't bump into them. These signs were hilarious.......

we were each given a "scientists hand", that's all that's left of the Scientists who built the maze, you need their handprint to get in, we had to hunt for 5 other handprints to gain access to the secret chamber.

hiding in a corner, just around the wall was a creature waiting for us...

we survived the maze, alive, all of us!!

next was the haunted House

our host and story teller, he guided us in to the spooky mansion

in the haunted elevator, it had a mind of it's own, thrashing about, when the black lights kicked in we could see the bloody handprints and the bloodstained floor. Things crashed about, it was so fun!!

Creeeeeepy clown, he hid his victims in .... of all things .... a jack in the box..... yep, my worst fear!!!! jack in the boxes!!!!

they had a coffin ride at the end, the lid closes and you hear people talking as they take you away, gravel crunching, and the coffin tilts as it goes into the hearse, and crashes about as the driver swerves..... kewl kewl kewl!!

Another great event!!! Yay for Halloween haunted Houses!!!!

Haunted House Party

Tonight was our Halloween Party, all the ghouls and ghosts came out to play... and a few other creatures!

Maddie's perfect job

Maddie applied at Boo which is a Halloween store that opens temporarily for the season in a vacated spot. This year it happened to be in the same location as Scrapbookers Paradise where I work. Long story short, they hired Maddie, with her pink hair and asked if she minded wearing costumes!! Haha that's funny, and since she has a wardrobe of them , she can have a different one every day! What a fun job too bad it ends in November :-(
