Maddie's home Maddie's home!!!

Yay, Maddie's home!! Maddie arrived after midnight this morning, she had lots of stories from the Dominican and made many friends all from London England, she'll be a busy face book girl now!! Anyway, I'm very glad to have her home :-)

after we went for icecream to Scoopers, they have GINORMOUS icecream cones... it was so heavy! It was like a whole tub! the cone was stuffed all the way to the bottom...lol it was yummy tho!

I had Cotton Candy, Maddie had pralines and butterscotch, and Dean had White Moccacino. We will be back, it's so close... and much better deal. Next time tho' I won't eat for 2 days before I go!

Tub B or not TUB b

It was Nishiki's birthday last night, she turned the big 20! We had a few girlies over to have a bonfire, soak in the Hottub, and well.... drink!

Here is Dean awaiting the company, little did I know at the time his evil plan.... he would build fires, and bring us food, and do anything he could think of for us.... for a price... my coveted Bud Light Lime Beer, you see, we brought some back form Montana cause it's so cheap there, and he drank all of his already.... so he was bargaining to have some of mine... lol he's so cute!

The next morning, the lonely soldiers left over..... we ended up with only 4 of us in the Hot tub, and we talked Kate in, even tho' she's " not a hot tub person " :-)

The taming of the shrub!

Today there were no excuses, it was time to tame the Shrub!! Wow, pulling this grass out of the garden was as hard as the first day I ripped the sod, that's how thick the damn grass got! I got halfway thru, and had to call Dean to help dig... my back was breaking lol! Oh well, the time for complaining is over, my garden is pretty again yay!

Montana Reunion

We had a fabulous weekend in Montana!! These pix aren't in order, the fun was non stop so I just picked a few moments to share. :-) By Friday night everyone had arrived, and the games began......

on the beach waiting for the boat to arrive, a splash fight, I stayed clear of that! Eric and Luke however were in the heat of it, Liam sat and instigated and Jackson "tried" to stay of out things.

ok, so here's the looooong story, awhile back we blogged about the haunted house in Montana, the house is abandoned, and everything is still inside waiting for the owner to return.... or has he... moi hahaha, anyway, here is the link to the old blog, just so I'm not repeating myself... http://deanandselena.blogspot.com/2010/02/haunted-jaunt.html now to continue. Jade, Chels and myself got this idea to go to the house in the dark... ( da da daaaaaaa) if you had been watching us on TV you would've yelled at us not to go in.... but we didn't hear that. Anyway.... we were going to get a ride, but then decided to walk, so in the 25 minute walk, the sky turned black, black. black. No big city lights here! And our imagination was having fun with us, we saw logs that looked like people, heard sounds that were eery, saw bats fly by, and talked about every horror movie we know. Just as we were arriving, Jade's dad, Dean, arrived with the truck ( later we would find out just how thankful we were for this motion ) so, he drove us up the long driveway, thru the waist high grass, and shone his truck lights on the house. It looked creepy! Jade and I had a flashlight, so we pushed forward, arrived on the stoop and waited, then got the courage to open the screen door, what do we see... written in dust on the window BEWARE, it stopped us dead in our tracks!! I wasn't expecting to be that scared... yet lol ! anyway, we knocked ( gotta be polite to ghostys ) thankfully there was no answer. We pushed the door open, still not entering, and flashed our lights around, to the left is a bedroom, with blankets all balled up on it, and yep, it looked like a body lol! We finally took the first steps in, shining lights, trying to take photos with uncooperative camera... it was just too dark for them to want to fire. The house is shaped like a "U" and I know from the daytime, that the cat skeleton is on the opposite side of the kitchen, but we didn't make it that far. At the bend of the room, I took a picture of Jade and Chels just to prove we did go inside, and the split second I took the picture, the whole house lit up with the flash, and Chels heard something, she jumped, scaring me, I screamed, we all screamed ( and not for icecream!!) and all 3 of us ran out the door, as fast as we could get away from the house, thru the waist hight grass, running towards the truck. If Dean hadn't have been there, we would have run blind, and probably would still be running deep into the forest!! We don't know what we heard, but we ran.... then we laughed, and laughed at ourselves!! It was the funnest scary moment of my life!!!

Dean and Ruby bought fireworks for the "illegal" night show! They were amazing!! I can't believe you can buy fireworks that big, and loud, and gorgeous in the States!! Ours here are like flares! I'm sure everyone around the lake heard them, someone across the lake just happened to have fireworks with them as well, and answered back with theirs!

lots of boating time, and for these guys lots of airtime!! I went on the boat just to take pix, and there were lots to sort thru!

Jade and Chels slept outside, they look really comfy!

we had a big bonfire, tried to sing campsongs, and tried to tell ghost stories.... we'll have to learn some stories for next year!

Dean taught us a new game called Bones, it was a blast! I had never heard of it before, but two teams try and knock down the other sides row of bones, and they are bones, Horse Ankle bones!!!

That's kinda the weekend in a nutshell, the Reader's digest version, bottom line was, it was AWESOME!

Family reunion WOW

Hi all, we got back from Montana last night after the big family reunion. It was a huge success, tons of fun, great weather, and the promise of one next year! ( WITH MADDIE ) Maddie left for the Dominican so she wasn't at the reunion, there were only 19 of us :-( but.... we will make it up to her next year. I have to get ready for work, so when I get back I'll do some bloggin and upload pix. It took a few hours to get all the pix in the computer last night after we got home there are thousands, mostly because the kids were tubin' off the boat so I had it on rapidfire just to capture the airtime and the spills!! Now I have to sort, but I will leave you this one teaser...haha it's my fave spill pic!! (P.S. in case you don't remember there is no Internet at the cabin.... hence the delay in my beloved bloggin :-)

haha OMG I laughed so hard when this happened, there's Liam and Chandler, and that would be Jade going ass - over - teakettle from the tube!!

Stampede day 5 and 6

Forecast today ( tuesday ) ... rain for 24 hours!!! I did some running around today, went and picked up pictures then to Scrapbookers to get supplies to do some scrapbooking. The weather wasn't letting up so it was a day to stay indoors, for the first time... ever? the chuckwagon races were cancelled! Maddie tried to go to the Stampede grounds, but they changed their minds when the sky was gray for miles and miles.

the next day, it didn't rain, and it almost got sunny! Maddie and I went to 17th and walked around shopping. We were amused by this building, chocolate, smokes and health, well rounded!

then on our way to Cross Iron Mills we passed this store that we always want to go in, but we're on the wrong side of the street, but today we were on the right side :-)

then off to Cross Iron Mills for lunch and walk around the mall. We wanted to see the new movie theater but you couldn't get in from the mall side yet. Soon... then the fun ended.... I dropped Maddie off at home and I went to work. :-( when I walked in tho' I found out the new paper line I've been waiting for arrived! Yay, it has 2 of my favorite things together... Halloween in Wonderland!~!!!! After work I came home and made a scrapbook page... hehehe fun. Oh and I found out I won a scrapbook page challenge. P.S the sun stayed today, and it was actually a warm night.... it was a pretty good day after all :-)

Stampede day 4

Today I was at work... Maddie went to the Stampede grounds with a bunch of friends... and then the HAIL came!!! in buckets... the size of golf balls!!

we were at work and all of a sudden the sky turned black.... the thunder rolled and water started coming in the front door!! That was some powerful wind!! Angela is guarding the door!! The hail only got to pea size where we were, but customers came by saying that they were caught in golf ball size hail... and one lady showed us the dints in her car hood to prove it! We heard of smashed windshields too? Wow quite the summer storm.... and where was my little Maddie, dressed for summer..... at the Stampede Grounds!! I hope the weather turns for the kids, every kid I know is heading to the grounds tonight to see Marianas Trench, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for them.
