TNG Exposed

Nothing is more frustrating than having your awesome camera sit in the car while you are at a once in a lifetime event..... sadly that's where my camera was during TNG Exposed event. I was afraid if it wasn't allowed in, we would have to run back to the car and be late. So we left it, only to see giant cameras beside us. Then to make matters worse at the intermission we weren't allowed entry if we left... ugh.... BUT, let me just say thanx to the Sun website I was able to snafu their photos, much closer than I would have gotten anyway... but I don't mean to sound bitter, because the show was so freakin awesome!!! I can't even tell you!!! I had no idea what to expect, the whole cast on panel with questions and answers, where can this go?? Well it went to a  wonderful world of insight to our beloved characters from Star Trek TNG. They were funny, especially Marina Sirtis (Dianna Troi) but they all seemed so happy to see each other, there was hugging, laughing, and some emotional moments it was JUST awesome! for an hour and half we got to watch them interact.

First up was  Garrett Wang who played Ensign Harry S. L. Kim on Star Trek Voyager. He came out thanking TNG for having one really bad episode (Code Of Honour) every time he tried to watch TNG the rerun of it was on. So after 3 tries with the same episode he gave up. Then when it came time to try out for the part on Voyager he wasn't nervous at all because he didn't even really like the show. If he had been in awe he would have been too nervous in rehersal and would have failed. so he thanked the cast for that episode.
Emily Expo is the mascot for Calgary Expo, she was our host, and it was her birthday. Not a bad birthday when you hugged by Picard!
the crowd went insane and a standing ovation when Jean-Luc Picard came out on stage.
Gates McFadden, ( Dr Beverly Crusher ) When she came out she did a little dance.... so cute!
LeVar Burton ( Geordi La Forge )
Wil Wheaton ( Wesley Crusher ) he was only 14  - 17 on the show.
He grew up to be quite smart and witty!
Marina Sirtis ( Deanna Troi ) she has a great sense of humor! When asked if they liked the last epsiode of Star Trek, she said "No, I was pissed, because I was dead!!"
Denise Crosby ( Tasha Yar ) she said about the same question " I was happy I was alive again"
Brent Spiner ( Data ) he is such a character!
Michael Dorn ( Worf ) Hard to recognize without his Klingon makeup!
And the biggest surprise for me tonight Jonathon Frakes ( William Riker #1 ) He always seemed such a ( excuse the term ) butt on the show. ( No offense Riker ) but oh my gosh he was so funny tonight!! And I just wanted to hug him, he kissed Picard on the head, gave Wesley big hugs, he was just so personable... sorry for all these years thinking you were unfriendly!

The whole cast up on the panel.
One of the questions to Picard was who was his worsy enemy on the show, he thot for a bit and then said the Ferengi. Then a roar in the crowd as someone works their way yelling and holding flowers towards the stage. At first I thot it was an actor who had been a Ferengi, but then realized it was John de Lancie ( Q )!!! He had a recurring role on the show as an omnipotent with the power to do anything with no regrets. His role was awesome! Patrick Stewart was so happy to see him. He said he didn't consider Q was his worst enemy because he quite enjoyed his company. He gave Patrick the flowers and then while the questions were turned to Q, Patrick Stewart passed out a flower to all the cast one by one, giving a hug or kiss along the way, then he gave what was left to the crew on stage. After he sat down Gates McFadden went and collected the flowers one by one, hugging or kissing along the way until she got to Picard, and tapped him on the shoulder, he was oblivious to this going in behind him, when he turned and she handed him the flowers he laughed so hard, he had to take off his glasses and wipe his eyes, Then Gates planted a kiss on him that sent the crowd into a roar!
It was an amazing night, it was fun to see the cast having fun, reminiscing and laughing. I'm so grateful I got to be a part of that night!!!
