Addicted to Butter beer

So today we entered the land, or Is"lands" of adventure.... it's always fun to start with a coaster, and there isn't many bigger, or faster than the Hulk.  Maddie has her own private victory with the Hulk from her very first venture here!

good start to another great day.....
this time the lines weren't as long so we got on Spiderman with no waiting. And yep, you guessed it... I love this ride!
hmmm and still not grown up!
entering Toon Lagoon,
Jurassic Park.... the river ride is awesome :-) there I didn't say I love it... but I do lol
in Universal you can buy BEER!!!
don't ask me why, but whenever the Jurassic ride starts, they have the big gates closed, and the music starts, then the announcer from the movie, says... welcome.... to Jurassic park, and the gates swing open.... I get a lump in my throat.. like i said, don't ask me why, it just happens.
I snapped this moments before the big plunge.... I'm being a daredevil!!
even dinosaurs prefer Coke!
OH MY GOSH!! Harry Potter was everything and more. The details in this park are amazing... so so so kewl!!!!
welcome to Hogsmeade... oh my gosh, brain overload!!!
first thing we see as we enter, is the butterbeer cart, we didn't know what it was, but we knew we wanted one...... or 3 or 4 as the day went on lol
what it is, is magical, buttery, frothy addicting goodness in a cup. It's a secret recipe so I don't know what it is.... but oh my, when can I get another!!
the cauldron shop.... so kewl! most of the windows had something animated in them, you had to watch everything. There was a dress shop, and the dress floats, then on the suit, the tape measure goes up and down. The pen quill writes itself, and violins play.... magic everywhere!!
inside the candy store Maddie found the chocolate frog! and the every flavour jelly beans
Hogwarts express... stopping at station 9 3/4
kewl.......
inside Olivanders, and there were literally wands from floor to ceiling!
Hogwarts.... you fly thru the classrooms, and all over the land, evading deatheaters and dragons. You could stay here a week and not see everything, Details details details. Even thru the line was amazing, we are going to go back and take pics in the line ups. We had supper at 3 broomsticks... great food!!! and I don't need to tell you the building was amazing!
the 8th voyage of Sinbad stunt show, we sat in the splash zone, and got soaked!! All fun tho' when the temp outside is in the 30's.
inside 3 brromsticks...
down the street
in line for the wand show, which wand will choose me??
sneaking a peak
Hogwarts from a distance
Suess Landing
Dean conquered the Hulk
"I feel like there is a cloud over my head"
city walk at night, I like that Disney and Universal have coke everywhere :-)
at Bubba Gump's for night time snacks and drinks..... home to bed, and start all over again tomorrow :-)

Magical Kingdom

Ok the internet connection here is something else... and fast isn't one of the things I would say, regardless.... I seem to have a good one now... so I will go while I can. We arrived in Orlando very late/early as I said earlier, and then up early the next morn to head to Magic Kingdom. Ok so I cried.... but this time I had a partner... apperently I passed the crying gene onto Maddie.... so both of us, on sight of the castle were "happy" to see it. As soon as we walked into the park, Marie was there, we had never met her before, so we had to get in line. We figured we would only see "new" characters.... to us anyway, and the must sees, like Alice for Maddie and Baloo for me :-)

us and Marie the cute little aristocat

kewl Halloween Decorations on the lamp posts, and the castle in the background

check one off the list, Alice and a bonus, the white rabbit. They were so curious about Maddie's hair, the white rabbit had a handful of it in is paw, looking over all the charms in her hair.
we took the steamboat around the bay, and as we passed the haunted house, a big puff of steam passed in front me, gave it an ominous look. Sadly in Florida, they do not change the haunted house over to the nightmare before Christmas, that is only in California... I didn't know that :-(
but they do have a very kewl haunted graveyard you can walk thru while you wait in line. The amount of fantastic things along your walk thru the lines is amazing.... I can't believe how interesting they make it. In the graveyard there was this large tomb, and all kinds of instruments covering the walls of it, when you ran your hand over them.... they made there own sound! Very kewl!
last time we were here we were denied Splash Mountain, it was broken and closed for the day, so we never got on it. We headed over to make sure we got on this time... and we did. i love this ride, but as Dean pointed out, I say that about them all! lol Anyway, this pic was taken just before the big drop into the thorns below.....

Yay Pirates of the Caribbean! I love this ride...hahaha but really I do! At the end of the night when we were killing time before Wishes.... we went on it 3 times in a row!
then we found our spot to enjoy the magic of Wishes.... a fantastic fireworks show.... and as soon as the song Wishes started.... me and Maddie's face got wet.... must be from the rain, right?
I got fed up trying to take pics with no flash inside the ride, and just used the flash on one :-)
a round of Mickey shaped pretzels :-)
the end of day 1, Beautiful, fun, awesome, I do love Disney!

Arrived

We arrived safe and sound, late last night or rather at 2 am, so there was no blogging. And today we spent the day in Magic Kingdom, and just arrived home, ready to upload photos. I was called a slacker today by my blog follower.. AKA Kash, so I figured I better get something up, at least to say we were safe and sound.... photos to follow.

Evil Dead the musical

Dianne brought a newspaper clipping to the work awhile back, and said it was something I would probably be interested in..... I screamed when I read it!!! The Evil Dead, the musical was back!!!! I called for tickets asap, and as expected.... the splatter zone was sold out. :-( I was very sad, but after talking to the girl at the office on the phone she said she could place us right behind the splatter zone, and chances are, we could get splashed.... Dianne was in awe that this would sell out so fast, and I was hoping to bring her to the dark side, and come with us... but the dates didn't work. Maddie and I went tho' dressed in white, with hope in our eyes!

Rules of the splatter zone..... hilarious@!!!!
Ash, finding the "book of the dead" let the games begin!!
Maddie and I in our seats.... just on the edge of the splatter.... but close unuff to have hope!
The play was awesome!!! The songs hilarious.... it was a great night!!! And......
...... we got splashed!!!!!!! Excellant!!

The Mindless, Mineless, Mine tour!

I had seen a poster in Drumheller the last time I was there and was so intrigued, I took a picture and sent it to Dean... only problem it was only on Sunday and Wednesday nights... it's a long drive to Drumheller on a "school Night" so I didn't know if it work out. Long story short.... we ended up going on the long weekend when Monday was a holiday, so we were all set to be spooked out of our minds, going on a ghost walk tour in a MINE!
The setting was great, as we waited for our tour guide to finish her day, and start the tour.
We were getting suspicious at this time... there were some frightening clues that led us to believe this wasn't what we thot???
so we start on our journey, at 7pm in the summer, it's pretty bright outside.... not so scray at all.....
but we went into the wash house, there was apparently some good ghost stories in here, it was kinda creepy with all the hooks and coats hanging from the ceiling. Note that the camera is very good in the dark... so this room actually had no lights or sunlight in here, it was quite dark, with creepy things hanging from the ceiling, so imagine it dark.
The mine itself is kinda ominous... looming over the yard like a big arm ready to scoop up unwanted visitors....
the line of old mine cars.... the "graveyard " if you will.....
Big Bertha, she had a big death count under her belt. Psychics said she was painted red, but in reality she was battleship gray. Could it have been all the blood on her that made her look like she was painted red...??
different part of the cart graveyard....
and back to the mine...... oh right! I forgot about the mine pictures..... there aren't any... :-( why you ask? was it because we weren't allowed? Did I run out of card space? or battery? NO!!! there are no mine pictures... because we DID NOT GO INTO the mine???!!! Talk about lunchbag letdown!!!!!
I  was so disappointed :-( Dean said the only thing scary was the money flying out of his pocket.... so I was hoping that the burger I had in Drumheller last time would appease Dean and he would forgive me for dragging him all the way to Drumheller for a Mineless ghost mine tour. As we were driving he said is it in a restaurant or a pub? I answered a pub. Then it hit us , maybe it won't be open on a Sunday? this would not have gone over well!!
but it was open! Whew! We ordered a bud light lime, and the waitress said there was only one left, I quickly said, give it to Dean.... lol
the burger was amazing :-) and he has forgiven me....
here is the evil poster... nothing would have been creepier than a cold dark mine tour... but nope we were outside in the daylight, listening to stories of mine accidents.... grrrrrrr so as we said when we left..... we went so you Don't Have TO!!!
