so..... as you know we painted Maddie's room. Well most people leave the windows open to air things out a bit, we also left some windows open. The second floor bedroom has no screen in it right now because that's where we check for pigeons and clean the roof. It's winter, no bugs. no problem.... little problem. Little furry problem! LUCKY, ventured upstairs.... and went out the WINDOW!
Now at first we were in disbelief that he went out there. Maybe he went out, but then what? Jump? Doubtful. But he was nowhere to be found, and Lucky thinking like a dog, comes when he's called. No sign of him anywhere. So we looked outside and there across the front steps were little paw prints! We looked up at the roof and were still in disbelief! But the evidence was there. We looked all around the house and found his escape route, he walked all around and jumped off onto the shed at the side! By now a few hours had passed and we hopped in the car and drove around. No sign of Lucky or any other cat for that matter. That had me worried as I could hear coyotes howling in the ( not so distant ) distance. We slept in the basement with the back door open ( the closest Dean will come to camping! ) in case Lucky came home. We woke up cold, and still no sign of the little furball..... :-( Dean's parents arrived the second night he had been missing, they found a very sad Selena.. and Maddie wasn't home yet so she didn't know. Anyway, Dean, and parents put posters all over the neighborhood, and crossed their fingers.
Maddie came home had her Easter egg hunt and then learned the news. The phone rang on the 3rd day and someone said they saw a cat in their flower pot this morning. So we dashed into the car and went to his house, there we heard the littlest meow, and saw sitting on the step a very dusty little Cat. It was Lucky!!! We were sooo happy, and Lucky purred for hours! Thankyou # 86 you found our Lucky cat!
