16 years ago today....

16 years ago, this little bundle of joy entered the world :-) and she is still bringing much joy to me everyday.

after Maddie's request for Fettuccine Alfredo I sang happy birthday and put a candle in a cookie. She was cake and cupcaked out!

I tried to get Maddie's teapot shelf ready today ( hence the painting clothes ) but it was too much to do in one day, plus my hands almost vibrated off.... but she still loves me :-)

Kate's Farewell

Well, Miss Kate who has worked at the store for 6 years, has worked her last week. She is moving onto greener places. This may be the end for the store.... but not for the friendship. Maybe without all the class planning, we will get to see her more... this crazy bunch is just too much fun to stay away from. Most of the night was spent laughing.... so much so, I wasn't able to focus, we'll all have sore cheeks from all the giggling!

Carolyn had to hold down the fort at the store, so she arrived late. We greeted her in the street!

the weather was turning, so out came the towels! Saskatchewan tonight was getting hail the size of golfballs.... so I guess we didn't fair too badly!

Kate was dancing here, ...for her wine! We will miss working with you Kate, but we'll see you soon at the next gathering :-)

Airport Auction

I will never buy a pair of scissors or a lighter again! Today we went to the airport auction. They sell off all the stuff that people try to take on the plane with them. Since I have been one of those silly people who has tried ( unknowingly ) to take scissors on the plane TWICE! I figured I would buy some back. They also had bags of lighters and Dean found a really kewl screwdriver kit that has a flashlight in it.

Dean's Birthday

Today's garage sale was pretty lame. Very few people walked by. On the bright side Dean got to watch war, uninterrupted, and since it is his birthday today... that worked for him :-)

we headed to Cochrane for Ice Cream after we closed up the garage sale.


Dean, the brave soul, tried the new flavor "Beer for my horses" he liked it.... I thot it was yucky!

I had my regular Tiger icecream. Maddie ordered hers in a bowl, after we walked outside and I had to race against the heat to eat my cone before it melted, I realized what a good idea she had!

Community Garage sale

Well the busy weekend is almost over. First was Maddie's party, what a great bunch of kids! All these teens having a tea party, and keeping the noise level to a minimum, even tho' they were up til 4! There were about 10 kids that slept over. The basement was wall to wall bodies! It was a success :-)

Today is the first day of the community garage sale. We were up early getting things ready, and had a pretty good day. The highlight was selling our patio set. It was beautiful, and I'm sad to see it go, but when we put the walls up on our Sambuca hut, it just didn't fit :-( . It will make others very happy tho'.
