The weekend in a nutshell...

We had a fun and busy weekend this past weekend. It started out with going to see Jade pitch in her Baseball tournament, they kicked butt!! and I got to see just how fast her pitch really is.... WOW, I would NOT want to be in the way of that fire! Then Saturday morn it was Ice cream in Cochrane ( sorry Carolyn it was a spur of the moment or I'd have called, just to see your smile lol ) Then on Saturday we went to a Grad party at our friends.

If you hadn't guessed this little doggy doesn't live here.... the bones are as big as she is!!

Rich, the proud grad, we gave him a card that may help in the future ;-)

from his Aunt, a familiar gift! (That's what we gave Jade)

and from Richard's GF a very special watch.

sister Kimmy grins awaiting Rich's reaction to the gift from her....

a monkey, lol with personal touches!

the Grad Bobble

Poor Dean grabbed the wrong drink out of the cooler
this is the dog that lives here, BIG difference in size! We started playing with him and the balloons and all was well, until he popped it! He ran, and shied away from them the rest of the night.

The next morning Dean and I headed to Banff, destination.... Gondola. We hadn't been on it in long time so we got our coffee and tea, and headed up.

in the newly designed Gondola's

wayyyyy up from where we started

I got a kick out of watching our shadow

now the new destination was walking to the old weather station

one man's proper shoes may not be my idea of proper shoes.

we made it over, that's where we came from

I liked the one dead tree sticking up above the world.

inside the weather station

we made it :-)

I wonder what was so special about this tree? they built the walkway around it!

back at the start, one last pic of the weather station

on the way home Monica tx'd that she was popping by, so when she arrived I invited her up for a drink..... Today was the first real summer day we have had where you want to sit on the deck all day... and that we did!! Sometimes, the most unexpected visits are the funnest! the 3 of us sat on the deck drinking wine, ( and beer, and later sambuca... ughhhh ) way into the wee hours of the night. It was good fun.... I kinda had, sort of, a headachy feeling the next day.... not sure why haha

the end of the evening, still laughing!!
