Today we went to Kennedy Space Center. The drive out was beautiful, there was tons to do there, but by far, the highlight of the day was lunch with an Astronaut. Our lunch partner was Jon McBride. We had a great buffet, then Jon came out and told us stories about being an Astronaut, and why he became one. Then there was a question and answer period where we got to ask him questions. Maddie asked him if the food in space was good. He enjoyed answering this question and told us how it was custom made to his liking, He likes his eggs, scrambled with salsa, so that's what he would have made. He could have anything he wanted, they would make it, and he would test it to make sure it was good, if he wanted more salsa, they would add more. I thot the food was all prepackaged and that was it. His food was labeled with his name, what meal and when he should eat it. After wards we got to meet him, and shake his hand. It was a very kewl day!
