Downtown Disney and Dinner with Knights

Today we got to sleep in a bit, our only agenda was downtown Disney and then we had a dinner theater tonight. So we got to take a leisurely stroll thru DT Disney...

It started off nice.... got some photos, and my second scrapbook, a t-shirt and some odds and ends.... and then it poured lol We had discussed lunch and decided to go to a place that intrigued me last time, seafood :-)

It just happened to be the farthest restaraunt from where we stood, but me made it thru the rain. Funny tho' when we arrived the maitre'd asked if we wanted towels, and then the waitress? Did they not want drowned rats in their establishment?? lol Dean and I were in our glory...... and when the rain stopped
Maddie went outside away from the carnage... and then she was happy too lol She did come back in for dessert tho!
Lego Pogo!!
Kewl.... all made out of Lego
Maddie was very happy to see Minnie dressed up like Alice, Poor Alice always gets forgotten...
That's where we ate.... gooood food
then off to the hotel, for dry clothes lol and to the Medeival dinner.... we got fancy drinks and waited for our show
brilliant idea, the menu was your napkin....
metal plates and notice to cutlery, in medeival times you use your ahnds!
that's our Knight that we must cheer on.... the black and white knight
the knights had different challenges that they had to perform to win the place of the King's gaurd, one of the tasks was to gallop past that tenny tiny ring suspended and get the stick thru it.... 5 out of 6 did! Amazing. Our knight did :-)
then in the final round the Queen tied a sash on each knights jousting pole and he was to pick someone from the audience as his Princess.... guess who he picked?
I was sitting too close to get a photo, but he gallopped by and pointed at Maddie, she had to untie it and keep it.
Then they lowered a screen so we wouldn't get hit with flying splinters... but the screen interfeared with the camera... I would have rather dodged splinters lol but anyway, you can sorta see the jousting stick smashing into pieces there
Our knight won!!!! Very exciting, once all the points were tallyed our knight had to fight one final battle for the King as his job, an evil trespasser who wanted the King's daughter... and Our Knight kicked his butt ... the food was great, show was awesome... fun fun fun
Maddie proudly wearing her Princess sash under the black and white knight's crest. ( shhh don't tell her the sash is upside down )
