Horror nights 22 Orlando

The night I have been waiting for.... It was Everything I could've imagined and of course much more!!!! Halloween Horror Nights 22!! By staying in the park we had an advantage. The doors weren't opening until 6:30 but we.... got to start close to 6. The first house we went into was Silent HIll..... OMG!! But first... There is NO photography allowed in any of the houses, and since they threatened with Expulsion from the park, I did not dare take one photo..... I was not missing this... but I know there would be other people out there who took photos... so I searched when I got home.... all the haunted house shots I can't take credit for ... but I'm glad I found them

the park closed at 5:30, we were "quarentined off into sections of the park, and held there until the parl was cleared. They clear all the non pass people out..... and then flood the streets with creatures to horrify you, Zombies, Vampires from all eras, burn victims, chain saw wielding girls, beasts, warriors and prisoners, and any traditional things you can think of.... they were out and about where ever you were.
we sat and waited for the darkness to come, studying the map so we didn't get lost.....
then we were finally released into the park, nurses selling alcohol packed blood bags were every where,
fog filled the streets....
and tombstones erupted in the middle of the roads.....

not only were the creatures scary... they were giant as well!!

as we stood in line we saw a heard of zombies being released into the wild... we were recommended to buy fast passes by the girl from Universal when I phoned, she said you could wait up to 2 hours per house.... there are 6 houses and 6 hours to do them.... hmmm you do the math, they were a little pricey.... but so worth it as we found out.... there was a guy in line that mocked us, saying it was a waste of money to buy them.... that was at 6pm when we got to start going into the houses, before the park was even open..... I would lay money that he did not get to see all the houses.... as you will see proof of....

so as I said Silent Hill was first, if you seen this movie, you will know that it is a deserted town, in a different realm, that was burnt and ashes still fall from the air, the creepiest characters come out of the darkness and when the siren rings.... you get off the streets..... so, keep that in mind.... we walk in to see the road sign, Silent Hill, the abanded jeep sits with open doors, you can SMELL burnt wood in the air... and there is stuff falling from the sky ( ashes ) are you kidding me?????? it was PERFECT, just like the movie set... then it starts, one of the creepy characters is lurking in the bushes, and from the left you hear shots, and the cop runs out shooting at it... at first I wasn't sure if it was real, of a screen of what... but no. it was real.....

creepy characters......

these nurses are so creepy, they move in jerky motions and come at you.....

in the bathroom scene there are the remains of  a horriby twisted person tied with barb wire, when the sirens go off it somes to life...... this is a real person.... not wax, or a dummy and he's creepy....
again in the movie when the sirens go off the paint peels and everything starts to fall apart.... we don't get to see the decay happen, but when you turn the corner, the effect is there....

and the mother of all creepy characters.... pyramid head, he was 10 feet tall.... and scray as hell!!!!
and there is always a nurse around every corner....
silent hill symbol, it was awesome.... so amazing... just like a set... and creepy......

This was also a very kewl house... it was a church, there were creatures swinging above your head,
stones images

a fallen bell....
hundreds of candles.... if you looked over the rail and down it looked like a 20 foot drop.... it wasn't just movie magic.... but very creepy old church....
gargoyles everywhere.....
This was 3D and neon, as only Vegas is..... it started off in a casino, with a scary dealer summoning you to play....
the poor sign got NUKED
3d glasses, waiting in line.... but for us.... not for long :-)
creepy clown around the corner..... we also passed by the typical honeymoon suite,
 this was the toxic buffet.....
barrells of waste lying around....
games room..... creepy dolls.... there was a zombie Elvis inside also
outside. scariness awaits......
this one had great music as you can imagine, we saw allot of Alice's stage props, and some new ones.....

enter right into the mind of Alice.... it's a scary place to be...
a few lurking Alices await... this one in a straight jacket....
the gillotine we have seen on stage :-)
kewl how the song titles were out lead in as to what was around the corner.... when we turned there were bleachers, and mayham all about, oh and a few zombie nurse Rosetta's lingering. There was one that had strings attached to her, and a body suspended from the ceiling, she would come at you all jerky like and the fake body would jerk about too...
along came a spider, was playing, and these creepy girls were cought in the big webs....

it's feeding time......

these pumpkins didn't look so scary in the daylight
creatures at every turn
fog on the lake
we went into the walking dead earlier, and the girl at the front said don't use your express [ass yet, just go thru the line now and come back when it's dark because some of the haunt is outside... so we did it earlier and then came back now.....

that sign says wait time... 100 minutes... where is that guy saying our ticket was a waste of money? maybe he's in that crowd somewhere lol that was money well spent! It would have been really disapointing to have missed a house....
they did have a big screen with the cast talking but..... we still liked our pass better....

this was the entrance, dead body here, and to the left a truck bed full of bodies piled up wrapped like this one...
the door at the back , had fingers grabbing it from the other side, and the door was shaking threatening to bust open

in the clothing store with all the lurking zombies outside.... oh and there were a few inside too just waiting to jump out at you.... we have no voices left from all the screaming!!
the motor home had bllod all over it, and as you pass by it you hear and see shots fired... and a few wandering zombies......
This one was also so kewl..... they all were, but this was 2nd fave.... it was a house that had countless horrific acts occur in it.....
we walked into the studio sound stage, and inside was the whole house!!! it was falling apart, and creeky, and covered in vines and webs... awesome!!

everything was dusty and falling apart...... there was a stairwell, and when you walked in you saw a "girl" float up the stairs..... then when you turn the corner, she comes flying down the stairs her neck snaps and hear it crack!!!
old toys sit around
trunk in the attic
this was the classic house, where all the monsters from childhood haunted you, the creature from the black lagoon, Frankenstein, vampires and the lot. At the end there were all these film strips dangling from the ceiling amongst them were the creatures waiting to jump out at you, you  couldnt' tell where they would come from.....

and this wasn't scrary but it was amusing.... they made fun of the past years pop culture... some of it I didn't get but Dean says that's a good thing lol it was entertaining tho.
the stage was set in a school, Bill and Ted run for president against each other....
after all the shows and the rides, we stopped to eat.... we heard the realease off the prisoners onto the streets, hailing their chain saws.... they were scary!
I love the lighting and the fog.... differnent areas had different colors...
down the side alley where we were penned
 light show on the lake

zombie can shuffle up to any bar,,,
more glowing pumpkins.... the coffin rattles, with something trying to get out

we got to go on the Mummy, and despicable me rides with our fast pass :-) and then we left the park at 11:45, 15 minuted before closing, we only missed one thing but it was the thing people said if you have to miss something this was it.... so we did well, we saw, we screamed we got spooked .... such a Fun night!!!!! And it didn't rain!!! The gothic Gods were with us :-)

DEAN adds:  I was not actually looking forward to Halloween Horror Nights.  I pictured us running and hiding from Chucky and his friends all night.  In fact, to bolster this impression a Universal employee said there were no "safe zones" in the park.  In California apparently, the Scare Actors only haunt you in certain zones. In Florida, these safe areas don't exist.  Oh great I thought, we'll spend all night running for the apparent safety of the bathrooms.  Fun! Wow - my impressions could not have been more wrong.  It was so much fun.  The haunted houses, as you can see above, were spectacular feats of haunting.  The scare zones were really cool and fun to walk through. The creature's costumes were so nicely done and very creepy.  I cannot wait to return!
